The UCI Fund provides the university with the flexibility to support emerging needs and opportunities on campus.

To support areas within the Department of English, as determined by the department chair, through the Friends of the English Department group.

To support internship and professional development programs for students within the Claire Trevor School of the Arts.

To support areas within the Department of History, as determined by the department chair, through the Friends of the History Department group.

To support the MFA Programs in Writing to be used at the discretion of the program director.

To send graduate and undergraduate students out into the community to learn hands-on.

To support the areas of greatest need as determined by the dean.

To support unrestricted unrestricted gifts to the UCI Humanities Center or programs that it administers.

To support all expenses related to the Center for Jewish Studies.

To support the supplemental research costs of undergraduate and graduate students in Comparative Literature that are not otherwise reimbursable by UCI.

To advance research on applied logic and natural language in the Department of Philosophy.

To support all activities and programming related to the Program in Religious Studies to be used at the discretion of the program director.

To elevate and enrich all aspects of the Shakespeare Center; this may include creating new programming opportunities, expanding the center outreach and offering more scholarships.

To support the History Project in the Department of History, to be used at the director's discretion.

To recognize and promote student academic success, enhanced progress and achievement in leadership and service in the School of Social Sciences.

Proceeds shall be designated for the Dean of Humanities discretionary use for the School of Humanities to support student awards

To support all revenue and expenses related to the Modern Dance Program though commissioning shows, fellowships, and guest artists. (School to notify us when the fund meets the required minimum

Pledge to establish a memorial endowment in music, the specific project to be determined when the pledge is fulfilled.

To support the Donald R. & Joan F. Beall Center for Arts and Technology's programs, lectures, exhibitions, receptions and other areas designated by the dean.
